Team Building with Laughter
Team building is a serious and challenging undertaking, and in order to succeed requires a large contribution from everyone. Using humor and laughter during the process causes oxytocin to be released, which stimulates bonding and group cohesiveness. Laughter also relieves tension and makes the whole process fun.
In this training, you will learn the core ideas for these techniques:
- How to use humor to create a collaborative team environment where people are motivated and ready to contribute.
- How to use humor to stimulate listening, trust, cooperation, creativity, and spontaneity.
- About organizational humor and how to use it to increase morale and team spirit.
- Practical techniques to “lighten up” the office environment.
- How to have more fun at work and easy stress management techniques.
- How to use humor to examine and overcome obstacles…how to turn defeats into victories!
Each session also includes a relaxing sequence of Laughter Yoga and Laughter Meditation. These techniques are proven to be easy and workable, and they relieve office stress, relax muscles and give your insides a good laugh-induced massage.
Distress Tolerance: Many Paths Up the Mountain
Based on the mind/body premise that every thought becomes a chemical reaction in the body, this workshop uses a multimodal approach to learning how to relax and renew body, mind and soul.
Processes include kinesiology demonstrations, learning new wordplay for better self talk, healing with sound, laughter meditation, guided imagery and body work using chair Reiki. Also included are a couple of useful skills from the Dialectical Behavior Therapy training for releasing intense emotions (DBT).
[For spiritual learning centers, this program includes non-denominational forgiveness and gratitude meditations.]
Good-Bye to Guilt: Improve your Communication with Interpersonal Effectiveness Skills
When do you feel close to someone? What makes you feel safe? How to set healthy boundaries? How can you communicate more honestly about what you want? In this interactive workshop, it is possible to learn how to become more authentic in your relationships.
Learn to be more relaxed when negotiating with colleagues or loved ones; practice the release of guilt and other shame-based emotions. Learn to say yes when you mean yes and no when you mean no, without having a meltdown. Learn to become bulletproof to others judgments or disapproval of you.
Declutter Your Mind, Home & Office: A Holistic ApproachSM
Having clutter at home or at work is a personal challenge that can distract, overwhelm and sometimes disable the clutterer and those around him/her. This keynote discusses some characteristics of a person who clutters and how excess clutter affects health, energy, relationships and prosperity.
Successful strategies are explored, including techniques for the release of clutter, stress reduction and guided imagery. All participants receive tip sheets and an annotated bibliography to help create a more harmonious and balanced life.

LaughĀnanda Yoga and Meditation
Ānanda (Sanskrit: आनन्द) literally means bliss or happiness. In the Hindu Vedas, Upanishads and Bhagavad gita, ānanda signifies eternal bliss which accompanies the ending of the rebirth cycle.
As one of my favorite laughter yoga teachers has said:
Laugh so that your whole body, your whole being becomes involved, and suddenly, there will be a glimpse. For the moment, the past disappears, the future disappears, the ego disappears, everything disappears – there is only laughter.
Philosopher, Mystic and Teacher
Through laughter you can experience Ānanda!
The Food FuneralSM
Many food medicators, uncontrolled diabetics and compulsive eaters need to begin a grieving process as they let go of their unwanted foods or food groups. The Food Funeral is an exercise in letting go of these foods. The Food Funeral uses interactive group role-playing to get to the origin of the core feelings concerning certain mystified, stigmatized and/or abused food groups.
Many useful tools and processes are explored to cope more successfully with food and body image issues. We learn to do our griefwork, but also laugh and have fun in the process. As the poet and philosopher Kahlil Gibran once said, “If you don’t cry all your tears you can’t laugh all your laughs.”
This program addresses the relapse/recovery syndrome and provides the emotional, spiritual and inspirational support to reach your goals. (Full weekend retreats available in combination with the Let Go & Lighten UP program.)
Interfaith, post-denominational spiritual aerobic workout including 45 minutes of cardio and 15 minutes of dance meditation with beautiful structured movements of empowerment and grace. This program is accompanied by a multimedia presentation so attendees can sing along as we dance and move together. Music includes selections from Jewish, Christian, Hindi, Buddhist and Muslim traditions (wear comfortable clothes and bring water).
